Every bride wants to plan for the perfect wedding day. She goes dress shopping for the perfect fit, finds the most beautiful venue and makes sure all the decor is on point. Hiring a professional makeup artist is on the list as well, however, skincare isn’t even thought of. All women want to look drop-dead gorgeous strutting down the aisle, and that starts with flawless skin. Here are a few tips to ensure that:
(Be sure to start a routine as soon as possible, at least 6 months before the big day to ensure the best possible results.)
Start off by finding out if you have a combination, dry or oily skin so that you can choose the best skincare for your skin type. Less is more and you don’t need to use hundreds of products. Making sure you at least have a cleanser and a good moisturiser on hand should do the trick. I personally have always had great results using the Bioderma skincare range.
With caring for your skin and building a daily routine you should add a good sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30. Preventing sun damage and uneven skin texture/ colour is a MUST.
To get the best results on the outside you need to take care of what you have on the inside. Keep hydrated and drink plenty of water. Taking a collagen supplement may help your skin look more radiant and plump too!
DON’T try any new products in the 4 weeks leading up to your special day. On the rare occurrence you're allergic to something or have a bad reaction to an ingredient you don’t want it showing on your wedding day. That goes for waxing too, go for waxing/ threading, whatever you prefer at least a week before the day. Don’t worry about any regrowth as the makeup artist can pluck any strays away.
